Friends with Threads
Power couple, Jason and Kristi, met in New York combining their artistic forces to create a line of graphic designed fashion pieces and started Friend of a Friend. Although they are originally based in NY, that won't stop them from traveling the world to take inspiration from new surroundings and cultural experiences!
During their stay in Hawaii, Jason and Kristi were inspired by the aloha vibes from the ocean, land, and locals. Incorporating their experience and new perspective, they once again released another collection on top of their New York line; State of Aloha.
For all their pieces, they either print in their own studio or if possible, work with local screen print shops. Besides their goal to support local, Friend of a Friend strives to contribute to creative arts programs for local youth with every sale.
The State of Aloha collection is just going to be exclusively sold at the Mori shop at South Shore Marketplace, so if you're on Oahu check them out before they sell out!
Follow Friend of a Friend Studio on Instagram as @friendofafriend.studio for updates on their next travel collection! You can go to www.friendofafriend.studio if you want to shop their studio pieces online. Also check out their blog and follow their creative journey.
Thank you to Jason and Kristi for working with us and bringing these amazing pieces to the island! Their aesthetic is refreshing and I look forward to your upcoming collection this year!
Thank you to Jesse from Streetlight Cadence for modeling in this with me on such short notice. It's quite a coincidence because he and the band will be on tour next week with Mori Hawaii who now exclusively sells Friend of a Friend. Follow them as @streetlightcadence on Instagram for their next performances and other updates when they return to LA!
And thank you to Enzo for being an awesome photographer as always. Check him out on Instagram as @enzo_hamma to see his recent visit to beautiful Osaka!
