My buddy Quy and I returned to the Chinatown Artist Loft after weeks from shooting there for one of my blog stories. We took note of the chipped ceilings and walls, and the rustic fire escape stairs that are built from the inner part of the building. As we were pressured to take photos, we ran into an acquaintance of mine, Sonny, who has his own studios in this historic building!
We stayed longer and killed a lot of shots around the 4th floor and used a dope guitar at one point for props!
Majority of this outfit is from Goodwill and here’s a breakdown of what I copped:
• Yellow Coat (Oscar de la Renta) from Goodwill Goes GLAM! 2018
•Red Sweat Pants - Goodwill Kakaako
•Black & White Boots - Goodwill Kaimuki
The rest of my outfit included:
•Clout Shades - POSHd HI
•Aloha Tee - INI Hawaii
As I’ve stated on several occasions, I love to thrift and challenge myself to eat creative with styling! I think my next challenge would be to find seemingly ugly pieces and try to make them stylish.
Thanks so much Sonny for letting us shoot around the building! Check him out on Instagram as @alohasonny or online at alohasonny.com.
And also thanks to my buddy Quy for taking the shots during this shoot! Check him out for more dope portrait and landscape work on Instagram as @quyphaam.
